  1. Provide 2 lb Fresh, ripe tomatoes
  2. Prepare 5 tbsp Butter
  3. Get 1 medium Onion, peeled and cut in half
  4. Provide 1 bunch Garlic, cut in half horizontally and peeled
  5. Prepare 1 Salt to taste
Steps to make Tomato Sauce:
  1. Peel tomatoes by: cutting around core and remove. Cut X in skin at other end. Put in boiling water for a minute and then dunk into iced water. The skin should slip off.
  2. Roughly chop the tomatoes and put in a saucepan with butter, onion, half the garlic bunch and a pinch of salt.

  4. Remove onion and garlic. Blend mixture to make sauce smoother.
