The ingredients needed to prepare Apple Crumble:
- Prepare Main Ingredients
- Provide 1/2 kg Apples
- Use 80 grams Sugar
- Provide 2 tsp Cinammon
- Prepare 1 pinch salt
- Provide 75 grams Butter (cold)
- Prepare 1 tbsp Lemon Juice (optional)
- Get 50 grams Plain Flour (or 25g Oats and 25g Flour)

- Peel apples and cut into medium size chunks.
- Place the apples, half of the sugar, the lemon juice, and a tablesoon of water into a small pan covered with a lid then leave to simmer on a low heat for 5/10 minutes until the apples become soft and brownish.
- Whilst the apples are cooking, place the remaining ingredients in a bowl cutting the butter into small cubes.
- Rub the butter and other ingredients with fingertips until the mix turns into crumbly balls, you can add more flour or butter depending on preference.
- Pour the apple mix into a small oven dish, and spread the crumble mix evenly over it.
- Place in oven at about 200°c and bake for roughly 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve with custard or ice cream and enjoy!
