The ingredients needed to cook Hummus:
- You need 4-6 cloves garlic
- Provide 3 fresh jalapeños
- You need 7 jalapeño slices (pickled)
- Use 4 pepperoncini peppers
- Take 2 fresh seranno peppers
- Provide 1 fire roasted red pepper
- You need 10 Tbsp. lemon juice
- Use 1 Tbsp. salt
- Get 4 cans chickpeas (drained and rinsed)
- Provide 2/3 C. Tahini (mixed well)
- Take 1/2 C. Olive oil
- Prepare to taste smoked paprika
- Take 1/2 tsp. Dave's insanity ghost pepper sauce
Instructions to make Hummus:
- Add the peppers, garlic and salt into a food processor.
- Blend all the ingredients until they are chopped fine.
- Add the chickpeas and blend some. I do this because if you add the liquid first it will run out of the bottom of the food processor.
- Add the tahini, lemon juice and the olive oil. Blend the mixture until smooth. Add olive oil in small amounts until the texture you like.
- Add the Dave's if you want extra heat. The hummus will be less spicy, garlicky after chilling in the fridge for a day.
