- Prepare 100-150 g Fresh Fish Fillet *make sure it is fresh enough to be eaten uncooked
- Provide *Note: You can slice it by yourself OR purchase Sashimi slices
- You need *Recommended fish are Tuna, Salmon, Yellowtail, Kingfish, Snapper, Whiting, etc
- Prepare 1 serving Freshly Cooked Rice
- Provide 1/2 sheet Toasted Nori *tear into small pieces
- Take Yakumi (condiments) of your choice
- Provide *e.g. Shiso, Wasabi, Spring Onion, Toasted Sesame Seeds, etc
- Get <Marinade>
- Provide 1 teaspoon Mirin
- Use 2-3 teaspoons Soy Sauce
- Use 1/2 teaspoon Wasabi
- You need 1 teaspoon Grated Ginger
Instructions to make Sashimi ‘Zuké Don':
- Make the marinade first. Place Mirin, Soy Sauce, Wasabi and Grated Ginger in a small bowl and mix well.
- Slice Fish Fillet into small pieces and add to the marinade. Rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Half fill a bowl with freshly cooked rice, cover with the Toasted Nori and place marinated fish pieces on top. Place some finely sliced Shiso or chopped Spring Onion, and/or other condiments of your choice and enjoy.
