The ingredients needed to make Gingerbread:
- Prepare 100 g all purpose flour
- Use 1/2 tsp baking soda
- Get 3 level tsp. Ground ginger
- Take 1 beaten egg
- Take 3 tbsp.milk
- Take 50 g butter/margarine
- Use 50 g sugar
- Take 1 tbsp. Golden syrup
- Prepare 2 tbsp. Raisins/sultanas

- Melt the butter, sugar and golden syrup together in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in with a wooden spoon and when properly melted let it cool slightly.

- Add in the raisins and stir properly.
- Pour the mixture into a greased loaf tin and bake over moderate heat of 180c-190c for 20-25mins.
