The ingredients needed to cook Veg Pulav:
- Provide 1 cup Basmati Rice
- Get 1 Onion
- Take 1/8 cup Green peas
- Provide 1 Carrot
- Get 4 Beans
- Prepare 1 Potato
- Provide 1 piece Ginger
- You need 2-3 slices Garlic
- Provide 3 Green chili
- Get 2 strands Coriander leaves
- You need 2 Mint leaves
- Take 1/4 tsp Fennel seeds
- Prepare 1 Bay leaves
- Provide 1 tsp Garam masala powder
- Get 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- Use 1 tbsp Ghee
- Provide 1 tsp Salt
- Get 2 cup Water
Steps to make Veg Pulav:
- Wash rice and soak it in water for 15-20 mins. Drain and keep aside until needed.
- Grind green chili, ginger, garlic, coriander leaves and mint leaves to a fine paste.
- Heat ghee in a pressure cooker on low flame. Add cinnamon, cloves, bay leaves and saute for 30 seconds.
- Add onion and saute until it turns light brown.
- Add chopped vegetables and fry for few mins.
- Add the drained rice and saute for few mins.
- Add garam masala, turmeric powder, finely grounded paste, salt and water.
- Close the lid and cook for 2 whistles. Turn off the flame.
- Once the pressure settles down, open the lid and fluff the rice with a fork.
- Garnish the pulav with roasted cashews, raisins, and fried onions.
- Serve the pulav with raita & Papad !!!!!!!!
